2026 CANNES FILM FESTIVAL – Recap

Ooh la la, SAGindie is back from another year as a sponsor of The American Pavilion at the 2026 FESTIVAL DE CANNES, held May 12 – 23, in the French Riviera. With AmPav, SAGindie provided educational opportunities to the American film students at the fest, featuring industry roundtables where film professionals shared their career insights and advice.

This year’s SAGindie Roundtable speakers included: Aaron Hillis (Cualorus Film Festival), Danelle Eliav (line producer), Danielle Freiberg (IFC), Harris Tulchin (The Media Lawyer), Jacqueline Lyanga (Berlin International Film Festival), Jason Ishikawa (Cinetic Media), Jeff Sharp and Colin Whitlow (The Gotham Film & Media Institute), Jennifer Levine (Untitled Entertainment), Jerry Ruiz (Penske Media), Julie La’Bassiere (DDA Group), Kate Chamuris (producer/festival strategist), Mary Beth Barone (actor/writer) Nikkole Denson-Randolph (AMC), Rosie Wong and Heidi Zwicker (Sundance Institute), Stephanie Pfingsten (Lumos PR), Susanne Scheel (casting director), and Talitha Watkins (ColorCreative).

Darrien Michele Gipson (Executive Director of SAGindie) was also featured on The Impact Lounge panel DIFF Explorers: Tools for Filmmakers in Entertainment, as well as The Colour of Cannes Honours panel.
