SAGindie once again brought our je ne sais quoi to the French Riviera as sponsors of The American Pavilion at the 2025 CANNES FILM FESTIVAL (held this year from May 13 – 24), where we provided career advice and insight to the attending film students.
Thanks to all the industry pros who turned out to speak at our SAGindie Roundtables: Kendall Anlian (The Coven), Teresa Arundel (DDA), Gordon Bobb (Del Shaw Moonves Tanaka Finkelstein Lezcano Bobb & Dang), Tiffany Boyle (Ramo Law PC), Ernest Dickerson (Juice, Double Play), Theo Dumont (HollyShorts Film Festival), Sola Fasehun (The Distribution Collective), Reinaldo Marcus Green (King Richard, Bob Marley: One Love), Aaron Hillis (Bleecker Street Media), Jason Ishikawa (Cinetic Media), Peter Kuplowsky (Toronto International Film Festival), Jacqueline Lyanga (Berlin International Film Festival), Kyle Marvin (The Climb, Splitsville), Stephanie Pfingsten (Lumos PR), Adam Piron (Sundance Institute), Yolonda Ross (The Get Down, The Chi), and Jeff Sharp and Colin Whitlow (The Gotham Film & Media Institute).
SAGindie’s Executive Director, Darrien Michele Gipson, was also the moderator of a conversation with Spike Lee (there to premiere his newest film, Highest 2 Lowest) and participated in panels with Stage 32, AfroCannes, and the Diversity & Inclusion Film Festival. It was another eventful Cannes for the books!
