SAGIndie will show Academy Award-winner Ben Affleck‘s directorial debut GONE BABY GONE, as part of its AFI Directors Series Screenings on Monday, Oct.1, in Los Angeles. The series aims to showcase films that reflect diversity in casting and “the demographic realities of American society.”Based on Dennis Lehane’s novel of the same title, the drama follows two Boston detectives as they search for an abducted four-year-old girl in the city’s seedy underworld. Casey Affleck (Ocean’s Thirteen) and Michelle Monaghan (Mission: Impossible III) play the investigators. Other cast members include Amy Ryan (Capote), Ed Harris (A History of Violence), and Morgan Freeman (Evan Almighty).
A Q&A with director Ben Affleck and actors Casey Affleck and Amy Ryan will follow the screening.
The event will take place at 8 p.m. at ArcLight Cinemas, 6360 W Sunset Blvd., Los Angeles, CA. Tickets can be purchased at www.arclightcinemas.com.
Gone Baby Gone officially hits U.S. theaters Oct. 19.
