Does SAG do anything for NY actors? I do not think so...
I have been a member for 2+years. The only thing SAG seems to do for NY actors is get them better background pay.

Why not have all the indie/SAG student films in NYC listed?
Why not mention the productions in a less infuriating format (that takes 10 minutes to hear zero information... how many times can they say Grant Wilfley's address ultra slow.)

I used to go to SAG weekly but there is nothing informative there and it is a waste of time.

Why not require any SAG production to audition at least X amount of people that are SAG members.

It seems that SAG can only prevent you from working on projects, not open the door to more upscale features.

SAG is an excellent opportunity if you want to conscript yourself to a life of background, otherwise do not expect anything else.

I am running for SAG office this year because this union is a joke that protects the interests of those who are already set.

Any feedback to my tirade is appreciated. Positive or negative.

Have a nice day, I hope some of you are working or auditioning, unlike myself.
