Re/ loss of the American Jobs Creation Act tax break for Independent Film Producers, I FEEL DEVASTATED.

I come to filmmaking as an LA public School Teacher, with screenpalys written starring my diverse students. This tax incentive has been my hope in securing funds to go into production. Filming will be in low-income LA neighborhoods.

What can we do to get the government to give us help we need to bring important stories into the world?

Do we really have to move to other countries to tell stories about US citizens?

We have 2 more years of the Bushites, maybe then. But remember, the IRS only enforces the tax laws, they don’t make them. With a Presidential election coming up, no one wants to be soft on job creation.
